Sean Eppers
Pastor of Missional Community
Verse:
"God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." - Ephesians 2: 4-9

Story:
Jesus Christ saved me in the midst of my sin, and rebellion. Though I hated God and wanted nothing to do with Him, He interjected His Will over mine and won my affections forever! It is by grace I have been saved not of anything I can or have ever done, but it is the gift of God. The Gospel is truly good news!
I did not grow up in a Christian home, but God and his grace placed a friend in my life at The Woodlands High School that shared the gospel with me time and time again. Despite my unbelief God pursued me, changed my heart and mind and saved me.
After high school I went on to study business management at Texas Tech and every summer I would return to The Woodlands where I served in student ministry full-time. The summer after my sophomore year in college I met my future wife, Ashley. Ashley and I now have two wonderful children, Isabelle and Owen.
The next 5 years I served as a student pastor where God grew my love for His Church, His Word, and seeing His people live out His call on their lives. Before being called to Woodlands Point I spent two years serving at The Austin Stone Community Church as a Church planting resident in the context of missional community. It was during this time that Jason and I began to dream about teaming up to see the gospel move in a new community of people.
Vision for Woodlands Point:
I long to see communities of people living out the mission of the gospel to meet the needs of each other; as well as serve as a sign to others of God's great coming kingdom. I hope that these new communities would be spiritually transformed in Christ through the gospel, devoted to radical prayer and the Word, intentional about impacting those in their everyday life, showing compassion to the poor and oppressed, as well as be a blessing to the city of The Woodlands and the world.
